Hampshire Flags on ceremony at the 2013 WPFG

Hampshire Flags took centre stage recently at the 2013 World Police and Fire Games (WPFG), the world’s third largest international multi-sport event.

“It's great that sport is in the spotlight once again and fantastic that our flags were used at key and high profile times during the Games,” enthuses Hampshire Flag’s managing director, Graham Wilkinson.

The biennial sport event for serving and retired police, fire, prison and border security officers featured over 60 large national flags, in addition to 1 yard flags from each competition that were stitched together to create one giant flag.

We're delighted that our flags have played their part in this year's World Police and Fire Games, which is an incredible event not just for the local community but for the serving and retired members of the emergency services from around the world who took part

The 2013 WPFG was the largest ever sporting event to take place in Northern Ireland, with 56 sports held at 41 venues across the country.

The event welcomed nearly 7,000 competitors from 67 countries, each of which had its own flag produced by Hampshire Flag.

“We're delighted that our flags have played their part in this year's World Police and Fire Games, which is an incredible event not just for the local community but for the serving and retired members of the emergency services from around the world who took part,” Wilkinson adds.
