The new 44,000sq ft store opened in September, but it took the fashion house until January 2013 to select a flag-maker to ensure the flags fitted in with the Burberry luxury brand.
After selecting Piggotts, the firm was supplied with the hand-embroidered design that was to be made from cotton at Burberry’s mill.

The final result of the project was four imposing flags, so that while two fly, the other two can be cleaned—ensuring the flags always retain their luxury look.
“Our team will keep an eye on the condition of these wonderful Burberry flags to ensure they fly proudly every day of the year,” explains Piggotts’ managing director, Lee Harvey.
“Regent Street is a second home for Piggotts, as we regularly provide and maintain the flags you see overhead. We also provide and maintain the famous Christmas illuminations.”
