Fastsigns Leeds team chase franchise accolade

Chris and Andy Simpson, the father and son owners of Fastsigns Leeds, have been shortlisted by the British Franchise Association (BFA) for a prestigious award.

The BFA's annual awards are reserved for those that have been successful in the last year and have demonstrated how effective a franchise business can be in the modern world.

The Simpson duo have been named on a shortlist of four in the ‘Long Serving’ category.

Chris set up the business 18 years ago, and has built it up to become the best performing Fastsigns centre in the UK—having smashed a number of sales and production records in the previous year.

“It is fitting that the nomination has come in our best ever year,” explains Chris.

He adds: “Despite being in a recession, over the past three years we have had the confidence in our business to invest over £200,000 in new state of the art equipment and take on more people.

“We knew that in such a competitive marketplace standing still wasn’t an option and our strategy has clearly worked.”

Andy and Chris will find out if they have been victorious on October 3rd at a special award's dinner at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.

In addition to the individual accolade, an overall winner be selected from five award categories to win £10,000 from sponsor HSBC Bank.
