Brightsign connects with Vertu partnership

Digital signage player innovator Brightsign has confirmed luxury mobile provider Vertu is to use its players in its global network of boutiques and concessions

Vertu boasts flagship stores in London, Paris, Milan, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York and Las Vegas, while its phones are being sold through its network in over 500 stores—including 70 boutiques in 66 countries.

A new store concept introduced in 2010 saw carious digital signage screens installed to display images or content synchronised across the array.

After an extensive trial, Vertu selected BrightSign’s solid-state players—a decision based on the devices’ low energy consumption and reliability.

Throughout the trial, the BrightSign players were used to run content out of the box, as well as continue playback for weeks on end. Content will be managed using the BrightAuthor software package.

Vervu will also use the players to playback holograms, adding a hologram-processing unit between the player and hologram apparatus.
