The new machine can print directly on a range of substrates up to 80mm thick

Targeted at sign-makers that are looking to expand their offering and produce high quality UV signage, SC-V7000 offers up to 2.5, x 1.25m print capability, and prints directly on a host of substrates up to 80mm thick, including acrylics.

Other key features include a newly developed 10-colour ink set with light cyan, light magenta and grey to provide low graininess, as well as red for vivid and bright prints.

Users will benefit from high speed simultaneous printing even when using white, colour and varnish, due to its unique head layout, while a four-zone vacuum system comes as standard, meaning operators use the area needed for the print job.

Additional features include an ionizer and registration pins, which Epson says provides ease of use, efficiency and productivity.

Tom Owers, Pro Graphics product manager at Epson UK, says that all features on the new SC-V7000 have been designed with the customer in mind, with aim of helping them grow their service offering.

“We have added unique Epson features to differentiate and enhance our offering to the signage market,” Owers says. “This is a robust and affordable UV LED flatbed signage printer capable of fast and quality printing on a wide range of media.

Meanwhile, Epson says its SureColor SC-R5000 Series offers print service providers and creative design agencies the ability to produce a range of signage and high value applications.

Key features include the use of Epson UltraChrome RS ink, which is a resin ink with wide colour gamut, as well as Advanced Auto Tension Control (Ad-ATC) for accurate and stable media feeding, and a 4.3” touch panel for intuitive operation.

Epson adds that the use of water-based resin ink means the machine is suitable for use in environments such as schools, hospitals, hotels and indoor facilities.

“We have listened to our customers and understood the demand for quality, productivity, reliability and stable colour performance within the resin ink market,” Owers says.

“With the introduction of the SC-R5000, we are now able to meet all of these demands. With our line-up of Eco-solvent, UV and now resin inksets, Epson is the one-stop-shop for all signage, POS and interior décor requirements.”
