As part of its ‘Power-Up Your Local School’ competition, Midwich asked local customers to nominate schools they thought were deserving of the prize.

Suffolk-based Stratford St Mary Primary School were the winners and received a new interactive whiteboard, projector, video camera, LED TV, TV bracket, headphones, a printer, and a scanner – all installed by local company, AV Unit.

The small village school has limited financial resources, and this donation is sure to enhance the children’s learning experiences. The interactive SMART whiteboard has been installed in the library area, and the wireless printers now mean teaching staff can print directly from iPads, saving time, money and resources.

We’ve been planning this £10,000 giveaway for some time so to finally see the education technology installed and being used by the children is incredible

Tracey Spillings, sales manager of the Education Team at Midwich, comments: “We’ve been planning this £10,000 giveaway for some time so to finally see the education technology installed and being used by the children is incredible. The new equipment will enhance the learning experience for every pupil during their time at Stratford St Mary’s.

“A big thanks to all our customers for nominating their local schools and to our manufacturer partners SMART, Epson, Panasonic, Canon, Chief, Sony, Hama and Fujitsu for supporting our ‘Power-Up’ competition.”
