Epson has had presence at The Print Show since its debut in 2015

Epson has had a presence at The Print Show since the event began in 2015, and for the last two years has had its own stand demonstrating to clients how Epson equipment can benefit their own customers.

Phil McMullin, UK sales manager for Pro Graphics, explains what Epson wanted to achieve at this year’s event: “The main focus for us is the Sure Color SCS8600. What we are trying to do is inspire commercial printers to look at wide-format opportunities for incremental profit and giving their customers something extra that can produce in terms of branding or corporate display.

“The 8600 is an eco-solvent printer using our latest generation precision core TFP printheads, which is giving you vibrant prints on a really wide range of different media. The temperature on the platern is really low so you’re not going to get any damage to any heat-sensitive media.

Epson’s stand also focused on the relationship with designer Richard Quinn, specifically on the dress that was worn by international rights lawyer Amal Clooney at the Met Ball this year.

“On the stand you can see some really interesting different applications from wallpapers to self-adhesive and then move across to dye-sublimation, direct-to-garment printing, label printing and of course what Epson are known for, photographic printing as well, so pretty much something for everybody.

“There are some amazing profit opportunities for businesses that perhaps haven’t considered wide-format before.”
Epson are on stand B50 and The Print Show will be running from 10am until 5pm today (Wednesday 19th September) and until 4pm tomorrow (Thursday 20th September).
