Signs Express Grantham scores with Tigers

Signs Express Grantham recently undertook a major sports-themed project by rebranding part of Welford Road Stadium, the home of Premiership Rugby club Leicester Tigers.

The project included installing a number of signs on the roof of the stand

The company, which has been working in partnership with the team for some time now, was given just one week to rebrand the 8,500-capacity Crumbie Stand and Cube building inside the stadium in time for the recent East Midlands derby clash with Northampton Saints.

For the project, Signs Express Grantham manufactured 300 metres worth of full-colour printed aluminium boards that were placed within the stand along the entire inside rear, the front of the seating area and the front of the seating area. Signs were also signs fitted to the roof stating the name of the stand.

Ian Charles, director of Signs Express Grantham, comments: “This is the most prestigious project we have worked on with Leicester Tigers to date, giving us an immense sense of pride in the end result.”

Tigers commercial director Andrea Pinchen was also full of praise for the Signs Express branch, saying: “For all associated with the club, the Breedon Stand represents the strong history, heritage and success of this club. Throughout the stadium’s redevelopment in recent years, the traditions of the stand have remained—something the players and fans are keen to uphold.

“We’re all delighted with the end result that Signs Express have been able to achieve. We share a long-standing relationship with Signs Express and aim to continue this for seasons to come.”

Despite the success of the signage project, Leicester lost the game 27-21.
