Epson extends SureColor range at FESPA
Epson Europe has announced the launch of two new signage printers – an extension to its existing SureColor SC-S range.

“At the heart of these new industrial printers is the introduction of high capacity 1.5 litre ink pouches,” says Chris Davies, product manager – production LFP. “This means a longer running period, resulting in less user intervention and reduced downtime.
“The pouches are complemented by Epson’s established UltraChrome GS3 eco-solvent inks which have key environmental certifications, including GreenGuard Gold and AgBB. As with all signage printers in the SureColor SC-S range, they are low maintenance, highly reliable and easy to set up.”
The SC-S60600L and SC-S80600L both feature Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP printheads and use Epson Edge RIP software, with Epson being one of the few manufacturers offering a complete solution.

Speaking to Davies at FESPA, he says: “The reaction has been superb, they’ve been really well received, and they seem to be exactly what the market is looking for.”
Epson partnered with Italian firm Ecotex to demonstrate how the printers can be used for printing on synthetic leather, highlighting a range of applications from interiors and clothing to furniture and automotive.
“The interest in [synthetic leather printing] alone has been phenomenal,” says Davies. “It’s a small modification to the printer but using our inks and everything that’s good about our printers, printing directly onto synthetic leather, and the results are stunning.”
The new SureColor models begin shipping from October 2019.
