HP launches new textile printing range
HP launches its new HP Stitch S series, a portfolio of digital textile printers. The launch is the latest in the firm’s innovation efforts to accelerate commercial digital print adoption.

The portfolio couples HP Thermal Inkjet technology with industry-standard dyes for superior colour durability and the first-ever built-in spectrophotometer allows for fast and exact colour-matching.
The new series includes three new printers: the HP Stitch S300 64in printer, the HP Stitch S500 64in printer and the HP Stitch S100 126in printer.
Features include interchangeable print heads, a patented media drying system, integrated built-in colour control, easy end-user colour profiling, and a fully automatic smart nozzle compensation system. The printers also include direct-to-textile and dye sublimation paper transfer capability designed for versatility.

HP has also launched a set of new dye sublimation papers for the new HP Stitch S printer series. The papers are designed and tested as a system with HP dye sublimation inks and the HP Stitch S printer series.
The HP Stitch series has been designed to meet the requirements of all sectors of digital textile printing including high end and fast fashion, home furnishing, household textiles, sportswear, soft signage, retail, exhibitions and education.

“The digitally printed textiles market is experiencing double-digit annual growth, forecast to reach $5.5bn (£4.2bn) by 2023, according to Smithers Pira. We look forward to more digital print transformations being realised with the arrival of the new HP Stitch S Series.”

In light of the launch, textile specialist firm RA Smart has been announced as HP’s exclusive UK and Ireland reseller and will oversee the sale of HP’s new range of textile dye sublimation printers.
Beginning its operations as a screen supplier to the textile printing industry in 1972, RA Smart has been supplying and supporting digital textile systems since 1999.
The S300 and S500 solutions make their world debut today (April 23rd) at the ISA show in Las Vegas.
Visitors to FESPA in Munich on May 14th will also have the opportunity to experience the technology during its European debut.
