The printers’ curing technology allows media to be finished instantly

The Pro L5130/L5160 series latex roll-to-roll printers are capable of producing applications up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, at speeds of up to 44 sq m per hour in outdoor standard mode, and 25 sq m per hour in indoor standard mode. The printers have been designed to target progressive printers and sign and display specialists who require faster short-run production.

“These agile and versatile solutions are suited to a broad range of end use applications,” says Graham Kennedy, head of commercial inkjet business, commercial and industrial printing at Ricoh Europe. “The Ricoh Pro L5130/L5160 Series combine Ricoh inks, Ricoh print heads and Ricoh design, to empower users to deliver the kinds of applications their clients are looking for – quickly, easily and to a very high quality. We showed them at FESPA in May as a technology demonstration, and the feedback was extraordinary, so we are very excited about announcing them today at VISCOM.”

The printers offer CMYK and CMYK plus white options, with high ink opacity and adhesion enabling prints on a range of substrates, from wall coverings to window graphics and backlit signage. Substrate flexibility is built in with support for two and three inch roll cores up to 200 gsm and media up to 64 inches wide.
