The new HP Scitex 17000 Flex will not only bolster the firm’s digital flexibility, but also enable the business to offer its wide range of customers decorated box and display applications.

Featuring the patented HP vacuum system, HP says that this feature on the Scitex 17000 Flex allows customers to undertake “more efficient printing”, as well as take digital productivity “to the next level”.

Martin Shipp, chief operating officer at Delta Group, comments: “The HP Scitex 17000 Flex was the only choice for the Delta Group, as it is the most productive and versatile machine on the market. The patented HP vacuum system handles difficult media without any drama, something our customers demand.

“HP has proven itself over the years to be a partner of growing importance to us. Our industry is constantly evolving, and with the help of HP we are able to stay on top of our ever-growing production schedules.”

The Delta Group is the parent company of three organisations known both in the UK and overseas, namely Lick Creative, Delta Display and MPD Fulfillment. Each of these brands will be able to take advantage of the new HP Scitex 17000 Flex, and its fully integrated automated loading of both paper and corrugated board, at a rate of up to 200 beds per hour.

Ronen Zioni, EMEA large-format industrial head of sales at HP, also spoke positively about the latest investment HP by Delta Group: “This installation marks an important milestone for our evolving relationship with The Delta Group. The HP Scitex 17000 Flex, the 11th HP machine installation, will provide faster printing and better technology for its valued customers.

“The use of this machine will allow The Delta Group to continue to be known as a forward-thinking business that takes pride in delivering high-quality printing with a fast turnaround time.”

The HP Scitex 17000 Flex is one of three models within the corrugated packaging presses range at HP, sitting alongside the Scitex 15500 and HP PageWide C500 machines. The Scitex 17000 Flex device can run at speeds of up to 1,000sq m/hr, and Delta Group can now look forward to using the machine to take on various types of work.
