The new machine is capable of running at speeds of up to 159sq m/hr on jobs such as billboards or outdoor banners, while it can also hit 40sq m/hr when operating in its highest quality mode, producing applications for indoor use.
Canon says productivity is further boosted by a dual-roll configuration, which enables the print service provider (PSP) to switch between two types and sizes of media on the fly, for fast production of mixed applications.

Canon UVgel printheads incorporate continuous nozzle monitoring using acoustic sampling to detect and correct any underperforming nozzles, which Canon says helps to eliminate white lines, thus allowing for unattended printing and a noticeable reduction in wasted prints.
