Spandex launch innovative sales strategy

In a move that will no doubt ratchet up the competition stakes in the wide-format print sector, Spandex has announced a strategic partnership that will enable it to offer its customers a package deal worth £5,250 in return for purchasing a Roland Pro 4 Series printer before November 30th.

The announcement comes at a highly competitive time in the wide-format print sector, with cash-back deals, prize draws, free ink and service contracts, as well as highly competitive credit deals all being thrown at potential customers to secure sales.

Spandex, a major name in the sign and display industry for its equipment, materials, and digital printing solutions, has joined together with equipment manufacturer, Roland DG, and material manufacturer Avery Dennison, in a move that is interesting strategically.

The offer put forward by the three well-known names shows just how tough competition is at the moment, with a deal that will save customers thousands of pounds.

The exclusive deal now being offered by Spandex includes a free dryer worth £2,499, an Avery Dennison 1104EA materials wrap bundle worth £349, a free vehicle wrapping course worth £450, as well as £2,000 cashback. The deal will be offered with the purchase of the Roland Soljet Pro 4 XF-640 or Roland Soljet Pro 4 XR-640.

The Roland Soljet Pro 4 XF-640 wide-format inkjet printer prints at speeds up to 102sq m/h and with a dual CMYK ink set, there is a wide colour gamut. The 64” wide device produces also outdoor and indoor banners, vehicle graphics, exhibition graphics, and many other applications.

On the other hand, the Roland Soljet Pro 4 XR-640 is a wide-format digital printer with integrated precision contour cutting, and has a maximum print speed of 49sq m/h. The printer is designed to help sign-makers and printers improve their workflow performance by combining printing and cutting capabilities.

The device has four ink configurations including white, metallic, and light black. It is ideal for applications such as wide-format banners, point-of-sale displays, and vehicle graphics.

Spandex also staked its claim in the market recently by adding a new car wrapping film, Oracol 970 Premium Shift Effect, to its material portfolio.

It is also not the first time that Spandex has partnered up with another big industry name, as it recently expanded its presence in the wide-format roll-to-roll market by adding the HP Latex 300 Series to its product range.
