Agfa’s new Anapurna M2500i was launched at SGIA 2014

The device, which was launched at SGIA 2014 in Las Vegas this week, is a 2.5m-wide model that uses Konica Minolta printheads to print six colours plus white at a maximum resolution of 1,440 x 720dpi and speeds of up to 115sq m/hr.

Agfa says the machine is well suited to producing both indoor and outdoor displays, as well as small personalised items, fine art, backlit applications and interior décor.

Andy Spreag, director of i-Sub Digital, enthuses: “We're pleased to be bringing the Agfa Anapurna M2500i to our customers after its global debut in the USA.

It's a hard-working machine that will definitely appeal to sign and display companies who need a printer that will handle bread and butter work quickly and efficiently, while offering potential new revenue through a wide variety of other print products

“It's a hard-working machine that will definitely appeal to sign and display companies who need a printer that will handle bread and butter work quickly and efficiently, while offering potential new revenue through a wide variety of other print products.”

In addition to printing six colours plus white, the new device is available with an optional board feeder, which Agfa claims allows up to five boards to be printed in parallel to multiply productivity.

The system also boasts roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet printing for both rigid and flexible media.
