The result of three years of research and development at its Tours and Le Mans industrial sites, Figatex claims the new device is the first of its kind that can print on materials up to 5m in width.

To help support distribution and sales of the new device, Figatex has also set up an export department, and says it will place particular priority on the English and German-speaking markets.

Speaking about the new innovation, Figatex chief executive officer Frédéric Roux says the new device will help ‘widen the possibilities’ of wide-format sublimation print.

Today, customers’ expectations are turned to sublimation, a truly ecological printing method of unequalled quality, high density, with no odour or dangerous products

“Today, customers’ expectations are turned to sublimation, a truly ecological printing method of unequalled quality, high density, with no odour or dangerous products,” Roux says.

“Combined to new trends in high range decoration, this technique widens interior designers’ creative possibilities by combining the highest printing quality to many materials such as acoustic, water-repellent, diffusing, furniture fabrics, sail and anti-curling.”
