A new feature allows for font detection of various photo files

The new solution includes a new 64-bit RIP delivering more than a 30% increase in speed for users and is designed to meet production challenges of sign and display and large-format print providers.

The update includes more than a dozen new additions including a Pantone Fine-Tune Spot Colour Matching tool, targeting those firms regularly using Pantone books for precise colour matching.

A newly introduced Cut by Layers or Colours tool allows users to cut intricate designs based on the layer and builds on Flexi’s use of colours to distinguish between different vinyls that are to be cut. The Find my Font tool detects fonts in different photo files or finds the next best match.

Flexi 19 also includes new business enhancing tools including Pulse, which delivers data in a dashboard allowing for sign firms to track production and media usage of products in progress via graphs and pie charts.

As the largest ever upgrade to our all-in-one sign-making solution, Flexi 19 packs an extremely hard punch

Sidekick allows users to create quotes and manage customer accounts, as well as enabling for jobs to be exported into the invoicing process.

“As the largest ever upgrade to our all-in-one sign-making solution, Flexi 19 packs an extremely hard punch in catering for the varied and sometimes intricate requirements of those operating at the coal face of today’s sign and display industry,” says Gudrun Bonte, vice president of product management at SAi.

SAi has improved Spot Colour Mapping for users to map spot corporate colours in the design file to exact output values, ensuring the printer matches the desired output for each new job. The feature also allows for a custom build library of colours for repeat jobs.

The Utah-based firm unveiled its latest software at the ISA International Sign Expo in Las Vegas in April and will be exhibiting at FESPA Global Print Expo in Munich, Germany, in May.

The new software from the American company is currently available in the UK through its preferred UK and Ireland business partner and distributor, Graphtec GB.
