GMG Color will also be in attendance at Sign and Digital UK to discuss its colour management options with visitors

Available to download for free from the GMG Color website, ‘Overcoming colour management challenges in signage and large-format printing’ focuses on how companies in these markets can optimise their business and boost output.

Key points covered in the document include colour managing across multiple print processes, devices and substrates, as well as solving common colour management issues such as loss of contrast and gradations in flesh tones.

The white paper also looks at saving time spent on manual file conversion and normalisation, and profile creation, in addition to saving costs on consumables such as ink, substrates and print heads through automated colour management and ink optimisation.

The world of signage relies on large-format print, which currently doesn’t work to an industry standard for colour management, and yet has to compete with offset for colour quality

“The world of signage relies on large-format print, which currently doesn’t work to an industry standard for colour management, and yet has to compete with offset for colour quality,” GMG Color says in a statement.

“Your customers expect accurate reproduction of their brand colours regardless of the printing process, device and substrate used, and this brings particular challenges for signage printers.”
