Roland expands software reach

Roland DG has announced that its Versa Works Dual RIP and print management software now supports additional equipment from the manufacturer.

Versa Works Dual will now be available with newly purchased inkjet printers

The following models will include the latest Roland Versa Works Dual: Soljet Pro 4 XR-640, VersaCAMM VSi Series and SPi Series, Versa Studio BN-20, Versa Express RF-640, VersaUV LEJ-640, LEJ-640FT, LEC Series, and LEF-20, and Texart RT-640.

“Roland DG understands the important role that software plays in printing,” says Yuko Maeda, division president of Roland DG business development unit.

He adds: “We have been developing RIP and print management software for many years.

“A major benefit for Roland customers is that our software is tailored exclusively for Roland DG printers and printer/cutters, and thus optimised to maximise their performance and ease of use.

"Our proprietary colour management tools and other functions have become important factors in the popularity of Roland products worldwide.”

Maeda notes that Roland Versa Works Dual supports native PDF processing, providing more value for printing signs and graphics. Soon Roland Versa Works Dual will be made available to existing users of the equipment mentioned above.
