Agfa says version 2.3 of its Apogee StoreFront and Asanti StoreFront allows PSP to extend their service offering and enter into new markets

Version 2.3 of the firm’s Apogee StoreFront and Asanti StoreFront features electric document distribution, which the firm says will help commercial and wide-format print services providers (PSPs) extend their service offerings with complementary web services.

Agfa says the upgraded product is suitable for any PSP to market new services and products to customers of any size.

Andy Grant, global head of software at Agfa, comments: “Printers increasingly want and need to offer additional services to their customers.

“While print is an essential part of today’s communication mix, StoreFront is the perfect tool for PSPs of all kinds to add document creation and distribution into their product offering, making them more essential to their customers as a complete, one-stop communications provider.”

Meanwhile, Agfa has also launched the newest version of Apogee 9, a PDF workflow that drives computer-to-plate, supports digital printing, and supports the production of sign and display applications.

The software features connections to a number of output devices as well as various tools and functions designed to help users offer more to their customers.

The product is suitable for companies in both the commercial and wide-format print sectors.

Grant adds: “Apogee 9 now brings typical wide-format tasks and existing powerful prepress functions together in one single, PDF-based workflow.

“It provides them with more flexibility and integration so they can remain competitive with added value products such as banners and posters.”
