Livingstone replaces Anthony Townson, who spent more than 37 years at the business after taking over from his father in 1983.

The duo have been working alongside each other since February to allow for a smooth transition of the business, with Townson to continue to support Stewart Signs in his new position as chairman of the board.

Livingstone has over 23 years’ experience in the industry, having previously served as operations director and director of rail at Ast Signs.

“Anthony is leaving a great legacy; his passion and expertise has made Stewart Signs one of the most trusted names in branding and vinyl graphics in the UK,” Livingstone says.

“The company has already achieved so much, and I’m looking forward to building on those strengths to become unrivalled in our technical knowledge and exceptional service.

Townson adds: “Gareth has already added a lot of value since joining earlier this year. He’s got the knowledge and experience of the industry, he’s a great relationship builder and I think he’s the shot in the arm this business needs.”
