Russell Harpham returns to the company where he began his career nearly 20 years earlier

Harpham first began his career with the company in 1999 when marketing director Steve Hawker says he was “instrumental” in developing key areas of the business. He left in 2003 and has since worked for three global manufacturers in the CAD and AV markets before returning to Artsystems earlier this month.

Harpham says: “It’s a real pleasure to return to the company where I first started my career. Over the years Artsystems has changed a great deal – but not where it counts. The company has always been a star player, and its central emphasis has always been about building channels and creating new and better routes to markets for our partners, but now the scale and ambition is so much greater. You might say I’m coming Back to the Future!”

Harpham’s roles have included developing reseller and distribution channels for emergent technologies, including large format scanning and interactive boards and screens. He joins Artsystems from his most recent role as a director at Yamaha Unified Communications, where his responsibilities included building international and domestic sales, as well as creating marketing teams to support reseller and distribution across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Harpham concludes: “My key message echoes that of the Artsystems’ core ethos: ‘There are some truly great opportunities coming, and we want to make sure that with our support our resellers will be in the perfect position to make the very best of them’.”

A long-standing distributor within the wide-format print industry since 1986, Artsystems has established a progression to the large format graphics and signage market in recent years.

Artsystems will be exhibiting at The Print Show on stand A40 where visitors will be able to see Summa’s F1612 flatbed cutter as part of a live print finishing demonstration, with the UK’s first showing of Onyx Graphics’ 18 RIP software.
