Libby Mae’s Little Angels has so far raised £250,000 to support 18 specialised neonatal units across the Midlands

Founded in 2013 by Charlotte and Richard Sharratt after the tragic loss of their new-born daughter Libby Mae, the charity has so far raised £250,000 to help finance the specialised work of 18 neonatal units across the Midlands.

Midshire will support the effort by donating a full-colour desktop photocopier to the charity and also installing three, 22-inch table-style tiny tables, complete with bespoke branded surrounds.

Adrienne Topping, group marketing manager at Midshire, is also working with the charity on an interactive mobile application. Once complete, the app will be used in conjunction with the tiny tables installed by Midshire.

The app is being designed as an information hub for worried parents that need to know a whole manner of things relating to the health of their baby

Topping says: “The app is being designed as an information hub for worried parents that need to know a whole manner of things relating to the health of their baby, from top neonatal units or surgeons and their locations, to finding specialised counselling or bereavement services.”

Charlotte Sharratt, who is also a trustee with Libby Mae’s Little Angels, adds: “We have one of the tables installed at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, another in the Hospital’s neonatal unit waiting room, and the last we will take to events.”

“Myself and my husband Richard just want to be able to give struggling parents access to information that we couldn’t find readily available, hopefully our experience with Libby Mae can have a useful and lasting impact.”
