Doro Tape MD cycles for charity
Looking at his most recent birthday as an opportunity to take on a new challenge, the managing director of Doro Tape will be taking part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 mile cycle sportive this July.

James Carpenter, managing director of Doro Tape, will be cycling 100 miles through London and the Surrey countryside
James Carpenter turned 60 in March and aims to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, as well as supporting local charity AdamSmile, with the cycling challenge.
“In the last 2 years I have taken up cycling and become what is euphemistically called a MAMIL (middle-aged man in Lycra),” says Carpenter, adding: “Therefore my 60th year challenge is to complete the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 mile cycle sportive.

“This is a big organised event with over 20,000 cyclists taking part. If cycling 100 miles in a day wasn’t challenge enough, part of the route takes in the steep climb up Box Hill. So if I can manage that – and please excuse the pun – then I will be well and truly over the hill!”
Carpenter adds: “I would really appreciate your support in helping me to raise £1,500 for these two worthy causes.
