Protective screens are now a common site in office, retail, warehouse and leisure environments

Alugrip6 is a set of modular aluminium profiles and accessories that can be used together to create screens and shields in office, retail, warehouse and leisure environments.

The system can be used in conjunction with rigid sheet materials such as acrylic, glass, PETG, foam PVC, polycarbonate and Antalis’ Xanita and Katz boards.

“The Alugrip6 suite has been designed specifically for the manufacture of a wide range of screens and shielding structures,” Antalis comments, adding: “The satin anodised extruded aluminium profiles incorporate specially engineered rubber fins to offer unparalleled levels of stability.

“These profiles permit simple, tool free assembly, and comprise of five complementary variants that are stylish and robust, yet unobtrusive.”

Antalis says that while AluGrip6 holds its panels firmly, the 6mm panels can be easily removed and replaced, which in turn the company says makes the system suitable for signage and other graphic solutions that need updating on a regular basis - without the need for any tools or specialist equipment.

The launch comes at what is regarded as a pivotal moment in the UK’s battle against Covid-19.

In recent weeks, the UK has seen a significant increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases which has in turn led to the government implementing measures to help slow further spread of the virus.

Many businesses took a heavy hit during lockdown earlier in the year and there are fears any further rises could see some companies forced to close their doors again if they are not deemed safe.

However, with the introduction of new technologies and solutions such as the Alugrip6 range from Antalis, these can help businesses ensure both their staff and customers are safe on site.
