Sun Chemical are exhibiting its metal deco solutions at Asia CanTech 2019

CanTech is the technical conference and exhibition for can makers and fillers in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Sun Chemical will present its SunColorBox solutions, which allows users to create accurate colour communications throughout the entire packaging supply chain. Sun Chemical has also recently launched metal deco libraries for PantoneLIVE.

One of the key tools included in its SunColorBox is the SunDigiProof for can-makers within the metal decorating market. It has partnered with CGS and used a Roland digital printer to make a digital proof that represents the metal decorating substrate.

This means the process of providing samples to brand owners is sped up as can-makers and producers of decorative signage do not need to produce a manual proof.

We are proud to be showcasing our range of solutions available to the metal decorating market and Asia CanTech provides us with the ideal platform to do so

Sun Chemical will also demonstrate its two new metal decorating colour libraries created for PantoneLIVE and made in collaboration with X-Rite Incorporated and Pantone.

The two libraries consist of over 4000 colours which can be produced by applying metal decorative ink onto aluminium. The gloss varnish finish can be created in both opaque and transparent applications.

Inaki Llona, global champion of metal deco inks at Sun Chemical, says: “We are proud to be showcasing our range of solutions available to the metal decorating market and Asia CanTech provides us with the ideal platform to do so. SunColorBox is a solution that significantly streamlines digital workflow and providing Pantone approved colours on a beverage can is a true first for the industry.”
