Sappi eyes textile growth with Transjet Drive

Sappi has responded to an increase in demand for sublimation papers in the textile print market by introducing Transjet Drive.

Sappi has made its new Transjet Drive sublimation paper available in markets around the world

The new sublimation paper is specifically designed for glue-belt printers, but is also suitable for high-speed printers without a glue-belt system.

One side of the paper has been treated so that it adheres to the printing belt without slipping, while the smooth reverse side also ensures the paper does not stick to the adhesive-belt and that it slides away without leaving residue on the belt.

Transjet Drive is now available in grammages of 45 and 55g/sq m.

Paola Tiso, head of digital solutions at Sappi, says: “Thanks to our broad portfolio of high-quality dye sublimation papers, coupled with our many years of expertise in digital transfer printing, we can find the most suitable product to meet every customer requirement.

“We are definitely the right partner when it comes to efficient and reliable solutions for the individualisation of polyester-based textiles and hard substrates.”
