Addlux light sheet: “exciting” possibilities

Sign-makers will now be faced with unlimited possibilities thanks to the introduction of 3mm thick LED light sheets created and manufactured by Addlux, partners of Perspex Distribution.

The sheet can be bent and moulded in curved shapes

The LED diodes are embedded into an acrylic sheet that is thinner than the old £1 coin, and can be used to light corners and be shaped by hand, which is ideal for signage, point of sale, and displays. After being constructed into the desired form, the sheet will stay fixed in that curved position.

Managing director of Addlux, Niels Fullerton-Batten, comments: “This remarkable new product is a lighting designer’s dream. It can be bent to shape, concave/convex or into different directions (S-shapes), panels can be joined to illuminate larger areas.

This remarkable new product is a lighting designer’s dream

“It offers unique lighting solutions; for example, lighting around a product, an object or a column; think too, of the possibility to light corners and construct curved light boxes. The possibilities are exciting and endless.”

Perspex Distribution has been the UK suppliers of Addlux light sheets since 2015. The new LED sheet is the thinnest sheet manufactured by Addlux, and can come in sizes up to 2400 x 600mm, and single and double-sided.

The product will be distributed in the UK by Perspex Distribution, which already sells the Sloan LED signage modules and flexible strip LEDs. The light sheets give a higher level of brightness, as well as all of the benefits of OLED, but is more cost-effective for sign-makers. Perspex Distribution also offer lighting panels up to 4.8m long.
