Awltech makes it as easy as PVC
Awltech has extended its portfolio of specialised plastics fabrication, flame and diamond-edge polishing and heat-bending solutions with the launch of a new PVC-bending machine.

The company says that the semi-automatic AFF machine will help speed up the processing of plastic materials such as PVC, PMMA, PP and PS—all of which are used on a regular basis in sign-making and plastics fabrication.
Key design features on the new machine include an adjustable working height function; a vacuum hold-down facility that keeps the material being processed in place during the heating, bending and cooling cycle; and an integrated clamping bar in the upper frame of the machine that houses an electronically-controlled heater.
The AFF is also supplied on a purpose-built wheel-mounted table for ease of manoeuvrability around the factory floor.
Users will be able to process materials from 0.2 to 1.5mm thick, while the angle of the bend is adjustable from 0-180 degrees. Awltech also noted that single or multiple sheets of material can be processed simultaneously by the machine.
