APA sets up shop with new solutions

With a flare of creativity and a passion for high-design that is characteristic of its Italian cultural heritage, vinyl manufacturer APA has revealed a kaleidoscope of new printing, cutting, and wrapping materials.

APA has been developing materials for the graphic arts, sign-making, and industrial applications for more than 40 years

Companies involved in the digital print market will have access to a number of new films that APA pledges will deliver “good covering-power and impeccable application”. The company picks out the AP/909-FS, AP/910-FC and AP/510-FC films in particular stating that, when combined with the respective gloss, matt or satin laminations, offer “excellent mechanical protection” and also retain colour brightness and print definition over time.

For those focused more on wrapping work, APA has launched AP/990-FX, a film that can be printed with solvent, eco-solvent, UV and latex inks. The solution has been formulated for long lasting digital prints and features the repositionable Repo Tack Air Free System adhesive.

In addition, APA has opted to expand its Wrap Film range with new colours and textures, such as ‘Jaguar’ and velvet-touch ‘Ultra Matt Military Green’.

Elsewhere, APA has moved to address an increasing demand for cutting films by extending the colour range of the Extreme Fast series of self-adhesive flexible cast films, which it says can be modelled on curved and riveted surfaces
Creative Wrap includes highly conformable cast films with a soft surface, suitable for the full decoration of flat and shaped surfaces and wrapping applications

APA picks out the new ‘Interior Design’ film range as its “jewel in the crown”, with the four-brand new series—comprising Cover Wrap, Creative Wrap, Wall and Floor, and Window—adaptable for use on furniture, appliances, walls, partitions, floors, glass and windows.

Setting out the new brands, Roberto Vallebona, APA’s sales manager, comments: “Cover Wrap encompasses ultra-stabilised ‘Hard Coat Vinyl’ films with excellent covering power and high superficial resistance, ideal for surfaces subject to impacts and friction.

“Creative Wrap includes highly conformable cast films with a soft surface, suitable for the full decoration of flat and shaped surfaces and wrapping applications.

“Wall and Floor features films with superior stickiness, with various textures that reproduce finishes such as matt smooth plaster and brushed or rough surfaces, ideal for large-format prints which can even be applied on uneven and porous walls.

“Finally, Window are transparent, coloured, frost and sandblast films, easy to plotter cut and recommended for fine decorations and designs on glass, windows and reflective surfaces. The Window range also features tinting films which filter the sunlight and ultra-transparent films that make your glass safer in the event of breakage.”
