Zünd powers up the market with RM-L

Zünd has expanded its range of solutions with the launch of the high-powered RM-L router option.

The RM-L option features a minimal quantity lubrication system that keeps the bit lubricated, helping to minimise friction

Boasting processing power of 3.6 kW and a maximum torque of 0.7 Nm, the new offering can handle various materials such as acrylics, polycarbonates, Dibond, Forex, and MDF.

Zünd says the router system can process harder materials at much greater speeds and cutting depths than other options on the market, which in turn reduces the number of passes required and significantly increases throughput.

The manufacturer adds: “Day-to-day production for a print service provider tends to be diverse and challenging. This diversity complicates the finishing process and increases the need to have the right tool for the job at hand.

“In response, Zünd is introducing a new high-performance routing system capable of routing, engraving and polishing the most challenging materials efficiently and with superb precision.”

Additional features include a water-cooled system for the spindle, as well as a high-performance dust extraction system that helps keep the working area clean and further contributes to overall productivity.

Users will also benefit from a minimal quantity lubrication (MQL) system that keeps the bit lubricated to minimise friction, allowing for greater acceleration and processing speeds.

In addition, an ER-16 collets ensure perfect concentricity and maintain reliable retention, while the ARC HSK automatic tool changer takes care of handling and changing router bits.

Zünd adds: “Fully automated tool changing significantly increases overall levels of production automation and throughput. Tool changeover times are reduced to a minimum, which significantly impacts productivity.

“The 3.6 kW RM-L router combined with automatic tool changer results in unprecedented routing efficiency and profitability.”
