Agfa sets ‘new standard’ with double launch
Industry giant Agfa has announced the launch of two new true flatbed UV-inkjet printers that it claims will ‘set a new standard’ for print quality, flexibility, and productivity

The new Jeti Titan S (speed) and HS (high speed) both incorporate the latest generation of inkjet printheads in the form of the Ricoh Gen 4 with 1,280 nozzles.
The Jeti Titan S features one row of printheads and is filed upgradable to two rows, which Agfa says in turn would make it a Jeti Titan HS and double its productivity level.
“The Jeti Titan S and HS are an unbeatable solution for high-value work like point-of-purchase (POP) viewed at close range or for the high-level art, fashion and cosmetics markets,” claims Agfa’a press relations manger, Paul Adriaensen.

The default set-up for both models is six colours plus white, with white printing supported on different modes including overprint, under-print, spot, and under-spot.
Both devices also have a 2 x 3m true flatbed design, feature a prevision moving table, and allow users to print flexible media up to 3.2m wide.
The two models will make their debuts at CIPrint 2014 in Lyon, France this week.
