Pizza delivery company Domino’s changed its signage in honour of its former employee

Bronze plays as a right-back for The Lionesses and has been with the senior team since 2013
Following the success of The England women’s national football team at the Euro 2022 tournament, Domino’s decided to honour Lucy Bronze who used to work for the company when she studied at Leeds Metropolitan University.
The branch based in Headingly, Leeds, installed new signage that renamed the takeaway pizza restaurant to coincide with the remainder of the European football tournament.
The decision to dedicate the store came shortly after her memorable goal against Sweden in which she scored with a free header to the back of the net.
After the Sweden v England match Bronze had 84 caps and 11 goals under her belt, putting her in good stead for the final on July 31st against Germany.

‘Lucy’s’ celebrated by giving away free pizza to anyone called Lucy who collected from the store deeming anyone who shared the name with the famous Lioness as a ‘hero’. The store also celebrated the win and Bronze herself with appropriately coloured bronze helmets for drivers to wear in the lead up to the final.
Speaking about the store Ricky Kandola, operations director for Domino’s’ promotional company SK Group, says: “Lucy Bronze worked at Domino’s so of course she delivers! We have always been proud of Lucy’s journey from pizza to pitch.”
The signage replicated Domino’s’ signature white font and is just another example of how the Lionesses’ win has been celebrated throughout the UK and in the signage industry.
