The inaugural event will take place online on December 3rd

The event on December 3rd had been due to take place at The Sign Group in Leeds, but was moved online due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Sarah Winterbottom, business development manager of Josero and co-founder of the organisation, along with Izabella Ivanovici, specialist recruitment consultant at INV Recruitment and also a co-founder, will interview speakers.

Those scheduled to speak include Sophie Kirby from The Printing Charity, Ian Hoole from The Sign Group, Sam Armstrong of Make It Happen, Marcus Timson of FM Future and Karis Copp of Karis Copp Media.

“It is a shame that we can’t do this in person, but bring on 2021 as we now have vaccines in sight,” Winterbottom says.

“It will be great to see everyone on Zoom and listen to the community’s thoughts and ideas on how we can increase diversity in this sector. We have some great speakers joining us so it should be a lively session.”

Ivanovici adds: “We've had to change into a virtual format as we can't meet people face to face just yet, but once we have the opportunity to do so we are really looking forward to meeting everyone.

“We have a great panel who are joining our conversation about gender balance in the industry which will be followed by an open Zoom session where we want to interact with our group members and hear their thoughts and feedback about the event.”
