Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, necessary and life-saving protective equipment is in high demand and short supply.

To help with this demand, Perfect Colours is printing A0 sewing patterns using its HP PageWide XL with HP covering the costs of printing and shipping the patterns.

The idea came from the ‘For The Love Of Scrubs – Our NHS Needs You’ Facebook group which was set up by nurse Ashleigh Lindsell, and connects hospitals and GP surgeries in vital need of scrubs with people able to sew them at home.

There’s an urgent need for new scrubs and thousands of people ready to sew them, they just need the A0 patterns

Speaking to Sky News, Lindsell describes the response the Facebook group has had: “I was completely inundated with Facebook messages and comments asking to help and how they could help further.”

Jason Burroughs, managing director of Perfect Colours adds: “The NHS is doing an incredible job tackling the coronavirus crisis and people at home want to do anything they can to help.

“There’s an urgent need for new scrubs and thousands of people ready to sew them, they just need the A0 patterns. We’re delighted and honoured to help that effort by printing the sewing patterns on our super-fast HP PageWide.”

Perfect Colours is an HP Platinum Partner and an HP PageWide XL 5100 and an XL 3600 at its Innovation Centre in Sheffield.
