Cheeky charity LED neon shines with Zoella

Proving the popularity of LED neon alternatives, bag&bones and Zoella, the brand constructed by content creator Zoe Sugg, have come together to create two designs to raise money for charity.

Zoella has come together with bag&bones to create two LED neon lights to raise money for two charities. This particular structure is to raise money for Mind

London-based bag&bones is a LED neon lighting brand, and the pair have created two faux neon lights to raise money for CoppaFeel! and Mind. CoppaFeel! is a charity that aims to bring attention to checking your breasts regularly for any lumps and bumps that might not feel normal. Mind is an organisation that helps those suffering from poor mental health or need some guidance with their moods, while also aiming to raise awareness around mental health.

As a result of the partnership, a pair of imperfect ‘boobs’ with customisable nipples was created to raise money for CoppaFeel! Sugg is an ambassador for Mind and the larger structure was created, taking inspiration from The Beach Boys – a quote detailing ‘Wouldn’t it be nice’ – available in several colours.

Gigi Foyle, creative director of bag&bones, explains: “We’ve been big fans of Zoe for as long as we can remember – she’s got a real appreciation for colour and an uncanny knack of using it to create a really distinctive mood and atmosphere, often in a simple Instagram post. We try to do the same kind of thing using LED neon, so we thought working together could be a match made in heaven.”

The two creations are also available at different price points, which means that they are accessible to a number of people, hoping to raise as much money as possible for the two causes. “With the sale numbers of the CoppaFeel! light in the first 48 hours after launching exceeding even our wildest expectations, we’re well on track to raising our minimum pledge of £4,500 for CoppaFeel!” says Foyle.

Sugg adds: “Interiors has always been a passion of mine, so when bag&bones got in touch, I was absolutely over the moon as I’m a little bit obsessed with neon. Working with Gigi has been brilliant from start to finish and I’ve loved the whole process of creating something so fun and different to anything I’ve done before.

“To be able to also raise money for causes that I’m so passionate about at the same time is the cherry on the top and I’m so pleased with the response we’ve had so far.”

Foyle continues: “We had so much fun on this project. Zoe came up with the idea of donating all the profits from the sale of both lights to charity, and we couldn’t be happier to play our part in raising some much-needed money for mental health charity Mind and CoppaFeel!, the charity that exists to educate and remind every young person in the UK that checking their boobs isn’t only fun, but could save their life.”
