An OOH advertising underdog

A fleet of trailer lorries adorned with vibrant pink unicorns with Pegasus wings have embarked onto the roads of the UK as part of online clothing brand Pretty Little Thing’s new advertising scheme.

Almost 8,000sq m of vinyl was applied to 100 lorries for the eye-catching campaign

The trucks were brought to life by print firm PressOn and truck advertising firm In Your Space who worked together to make the brand’s vision a reality.

According to PressOn, there has been a surge in the popularity of truck media as a method of outdoor advertising with online brands and retailers.

The firm states: “Truck advertising is one of the most impactful forms of outdoor advertising, in that it targets an audience who are traditionally very hard to reach – motorists.

“It offers a unique way to promote a brand to the millions of consumers who use the motor network in the UK every week, and for businesses who provide everyday products and services, it can be the best way to reach a captive audience.”

With truck advertising such an under-utilised and cost-effective form of advertising, this campaign was a shrewd move by Pretty Little Thing

With a quick turnaround needed with some of the vehicles having to return to the road as quickly as 48-hours after being wrapped, In Your Space called on PressOn to complete the job.

The artwork was printed on polymeric 5-7-year vinyl using PressOn’s HP Latex 3600 printer before a total of almost 8,000sq m of vinyl was applied to the lorries.

The firm concludes: “We were proud to be part of such a creative and inspiring project that is sure to spark the imaginations of shoppers everywhere. With truck advertising such an under-utilised and cost-effective form of advertising, this campaign was a shrewd move by Pretty Little Thing.”
