Tackling a decline in footfall

High street businesses and sign-makers alike have been hit by a decline in traditional retail footfall. According to figures, footfall in the UK fell 2% in February 2019 for the 15th consecutive month.

In line with this, more than 1,200 retail stores closed in the UK in 2018 as online sales continue to impact traditional stores.

As a result of the decline, the potential of smart digital signage to address challenges is being explored.

Experts in tech, digital out-of-home (DOOH) display, and digital signage analytics will come together on Tuesday April 30th to discuss the potential of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital signage.

The ‘Smart Digital Signage Mixer,’ created by Intel, Trueform Digital and Quividi, is an invite-only event which will bring representatives from major global retailers come together to share insights and strategies.

Guests at the mixer will receive a series of presentations and product discussions on how data and AI driven digital signage can help to revolutionise the instore retail experience, driving more people into stores and converting more sales.

The mixer will also feature a series of case studies from retailers where the deployment of smart digital displays has had a positive impact on their business.

This collection of knowledge and experience will provide guests with the tools to learn to increase both footfall and sales conversions by using analytics and AI to provide a more targeted audience and personalised experience for customers.
