Instant thread colouring comes to Europe

Coloreel unveiled its instant thread colouring unit to the European market at Avantex in Paris last month.

The firm has dubbed its debut product ‘the world’s first instant thread colouring unit’

Choosing the innovative textile fair as its platform, the company launched Coloreel’s instant thread colouring unit and the included colourisation software Coloreel Studio, marking the official sales start for European distributors.

The Swedish firm has been developing Coloreel technology since 2009, which allows high-quality colouring of threads on demand. The first product from the company offers improved logistics for customers, as they will only need one thread that can offer ‘unlimited’ colours.

The unit also cuts down on waste and water as only the thread required is produced. Coloreel has been designed to be used with industrial embroidery machines, taking away the need for a whole new machine.

“Finally, after many years and so much hard work, we have now launched our first product! The market response is exceptional and it’s very inspiring that people came to Paris from all over the world just to meet with us,” says Joakim Staberg, founder and innovator at Coloreel.

It is now clear; we will truly revolutionise the whole embroidery industry

“I feel proud and happy, all the visitors were impressed, both the ones we have had contact with earlier and the new ones we meet for the first time. We have every feature people ask for in the Coloreel unit and that feels great,” says VP sales & marketing, Magnus Hellström.

Mattias Nordin, CEO at Coloreel concludes: “We have the whole package, a unit that colours thread instantly in a more sustainable way and a colourisation tool to create amazing embroidery designs. It is now clear; we will truly revolutionise the whole embroidery industry.”

European shipping of the Coloreel units will commence at the beginning of 2019, followed by the US. Coloreel distributors plan to exhibit the product across Europe over the next few months, finishing at C!Print in Lyon, in February 2019.
