BSGA: Brexit must be fair to sign-makers
With Theresa May’s Brexit deal under pressure from the resignations of Boris Johnson and David Davis the sign industry’s David Catanach has expressed a pragmatic view of how sign-makers will cope with Brexit.

The BSGA wants a level playing field for the industry
That is of course if Brexit happens as a change of Government is possible between now and next March meaning perhaps an indefinite delay to the process. However, if it happens the director of the British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA) feels the industry will cope and continue to make signs whatever the politicians get up to.
He has previously told SignLink that sign-makers have their individual opinions about Remain or Leave, but as a trade body the BSGA does not take sides (in line with many organisations in British industry).

Catanach comments: “Our position is that whatever the outcome of Brexit, the BSGA will work hard to ensure that all sign makers meet and adhere to standards and legislation regarding the fabrication, installation and maintenance/inspection of signs in the UK. We will continue to act to ensure that the market that sign makers work in is a level playing field across the UK in terms of education, quality, standards and legislation.”
