Perspex Distribution has teamed up with popular CBBC children’s television show The Dengineers to carry out a special project for Claire House Children's Hospice.

Perspex acrylic was used for signage and printed graphics in the new den

Last summer, The Dengineers went along to the Claire House Children’s Hospice in Liverpool to construct a den for children to play in. Perspex acrylic was used to help create a ‘Party Zone’ and accessible rope swing cage for both patients and visitors.

Perspex supplied various yellows, reds, blues, and greens from its acrylic range, with these cut into shapes for the interactive zones.

Printed signage was added, while Perspex colours were also used to create an illuminated wall feature.

Our den will give them a space that they can all play in and somewhere they can make happy memories together

Reflecting on the project, The Dengineers team says: “These children have life limiting conditions and cannot play like other children their age.

"Not only do they have regular spells in hospital, they cannot run and jump with their siblings when they are at home. Our den will give them a space that they can all play in and somewhere they can make happy memories together.”
