Attendees who pre-registered for the event were sent a special golden ticket in the post prior to the show, with instructions to bring it with them on the day they in order to be entered into daily draws.

Prizes on offer ranged from new laptops, to Amazon and Virgin vouchers; but it was the main prize of an Epson printer that captured the most interest. Epson has partnered with The Print Show on the prize draw each year since the event launched in 2015, with three lucky attendees going home with a new printer.

It’s a fantastic show. Walking around, there are so many suppliers that we know and some we have never heard of, so getting to know them will certainly benefit me and the business in the future

This year, the honour went to Daniel Evans, who intends to use the new printer to expand the services his company currently offers.

“We’ll be using the printer on work such as mounted print on board, which will be perfect for us,” Evans says, adding: “We’ll also be using it for roller banners, which, at the moment, we tend to outsource to other companies. It’s great to have an Epson printer so we can do this in-house and ensure greater quality.”

The 36” version of the Epson SureColor SC-T5200, which is the machine that was up for grabs at The Print Show, can produce printed work at a quality of up to 2,880 x 1,440dpi. The device also features Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP printhead and can print in magenta, yellow, cyan, matte black and photo black.

Speaking about his time at The Print Show in general, Evans praised organisers for attracting such high calibre of exhibitors.

Evans says: “I came to the show to touch base with a few people, find out what’s going on and to generally keep up-to-date with the new technology. There are so many suppliers here that you can get more information from.
