Kiian demonstrates dedication

Ink manufacturer Kiian Digital has taken a step forward in terms of its environmental credentials, with its Digistar Hi-Pro achieving Eco Passport certification. This enables it to be used in the production of sustainable textiles and those required to achieve Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex.

Digistar Hi-Pro is a digital sublimation ink for transfer printing that is ideal for transferring onto synthetic fabrics (polyester), rigid substrates (pre-treated), and blended fibres (minimum 80 percent PES). Applications include interior decoration and fashion.

“Kiian Digital, once again, demonstrates the dedication to develop its product portfolio with respect for the environment,” says Marco Girola, marketing specialist of JK Group, which owns the brand Kiian Digital.

He continues: “The Eco Passport enables customers to meet the criteria of sustainable textile production.”

Alessandra Borghi, Kiian Digital sales director, adds: “This is a differential for those who choose the Kiian Digital brand. The certifications also increase the chances for printers to become partners for the leading brands who are asking—as integral part of their supply agreement—the compliance credentials of products used in their processes minimising health and environmental risks.”

Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex certification is awarded after a two-step process, which includes screening and chemicals compliance with the Restricted Substance List (RSL), and testing for contaminants.
