Offering a cash prize of £500, Innova invited competitors to pull apart two steel plates that had been fixed together using NovaBond SignFix OP110G, a grey foamed acrylic tape.
Despite having just pulled a Kubota M9960 tractor that weighed over 2500kg, competitors, refereed by former World’s Strongest Man contestant Mark Felix, were unable to break the plates apart.
“We were confident the competitors wouldn’t be able to come close to breaking the bond, even someone of Mark Felix’s calibre,” Innova managing director Glenn Dunleavey said.

Felix, who boasts a deadlift of 893lbs, added: “It’s way, way easier to move a tractor than this. I’d finish the tractor pull in no time!”
