The new machine has been part-funded with a £50,000 grant from the UK’s Regional Growth Fund

The new machine, which has been part-funded by a £50,000 grant from the Regional Growth Fund, replaces the Screen Truepress Jet W1632UV, and will work alongside the company’s existing Truepress Jet 2500UV. The company took the decision to continue using two Truepress models in order to ensure consistent colour on projects that use both machines.

“The Truepress Jet W1632UV has been superb, but we needed a faster machine to keep up with demand—which is why we went for the HS specification. Compared to the Truepress Jet W1632UV’s 94sq m/h, we can run the Truepress Jet W3200UV HS at 150sq m/h and achieve excellent quality,” says Geoff Rawlings, one of the managing directors at Best.

It’s going to help us increase our presence in new markets

The model is ideal for projects such as exhibition graphics, posters, retail signage, and other high-impact design and display work, and the new printhead modules and Truepress UV inks allow for the production of quality graphics at a high speed.

Rawlings adds: It’s going to help us increase our presence in new markets—the white ink capability, for example, delivers perfect back-up white for printing on coloured and transparent materials. It’s also proving remarkably flexible across a wide range of work, from small-format packaging to large-format wall panels.”
