Closed down: the firm has ceased trading
There was a meeting of creditors for Lichfield based Artall Signage last month at Britannia Warehouse in Gloucester at which insolvency practitioners Hallander and Hewson were appointed as joint trustees.
Artall Signage says on its website: “Gareth started working at Artall after completing school work experience with the company and after nine years was given the opportunity to purchase the busi-ness and fulfill a burning ambition to own his company.
Around a quarter of new firms don’t make it through the first year while just over half survive the first five years in the service industry”
“The past ten years have seen many ups and downs, but even through the current economic turmoil Artall are still producing signage of the highest quality for companies both big and small, locally and nationally.”
Compared to most businesses Artall had a long innings according to staticbrain.com. Around a quarter of new firms don’t make it through the first year while just over half survive the first five years in the service industry. The reasons for such a high level of failure are starting a new business for all the wrong reasons, taking duff advice from family and friends, bad luck, poor planning and cash flow.
