AXYZ International has launched a hybrid digital finishing solution to deal with common issues that digital print finishers come up against

Hailed as one of the most innovative and multi-functional finishing solutions currently on the market, the fully-integrated machine combines a router spindle with oscillating and tangential knife units, and also boasts a rigid steel frame construction to aid vigorous machine operation. It also includes a superior Automatic Tool Change function for multiple job processing, and AXYZ Vision System for precision cutting with complete accuracy.

Robert Marshall, vice president of marketing and AXYZ, says of the new model: “Due to the triple-head configuration of Trident, it is now possible to process virtually any flexible and/or rigid substrate, including materials as diverse as aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, aluminium composites (ACM), acrylic and plastics, foamed and corrugated board, vinyl, cardboard and paper.”

One customer who can attest to the benefit of AXYZ’s finishing solutions is Manchester-based firm Signs2Signs, who found that it cut down on production time by up to 70 percent after installing two AXYZ 6000 Series CNC routers.

The routers have been a pleasure to run and have enabled savings on production time of up to 70 per cent to be achieved whilst imparting a superior quality of finish to the signage products we supply to the trade, including sign trays and face and returns for our built-up letter fabrication department

The large processing table of the 6000 Series CNC machines can handle a variety of sign-making substrates, such as stainless steel, aluminium, acrylic, and MDF, ideal for a company like Signs2Signs, who specialise in 3D acrylic sign letters from heights of 100mm up to 3000mm.

The AXYZ 6000 series is designed to deal with a wide range of substrates, from stainless steel to plywood

Founder and director of Signs2Signs, Peter Potts, says: “We chose AXYZ International as a preferred supplier because of its reputation in the sign industry for outstanding service, engineering excellence and technical support as well as the positive feedback we received from other AXYZ machine owners.
