Epson and SEDO partner for The Print Show

Epson will join forces with value added reseller SEDO at The Print Show this year, with the aim of showcasing how new solutions from Epson can help print service providers succeed and grow in the wake of the pandemic.

The two companies will split a stand at the show in September, with much of the focus to be on the new Epson SureColor SC-R5000 wide-format resin ink printer.

The SureColor SC-R5000 only launched recently and is yet to be showcased at a large-scale event, with The Print Show offering the first opportunity for a large number of industry members to see the printer in action.

“This product has outstanding environmental credentials and is aimed at the signage & decor market,” says Phil McMullin, sales manager for ProGraphics at Epson UK.

The stand will also feature the SureColor SC-S80600 eco-solvent printer and potentially a number of other devices as Epson and SEDO aim to reach out to as wide a range of visitors as possible.

“The show is the first opportunity to engage face to face with the print industry for over 18 months,” McMullin says, adding: “During this period Epson has been busy launching an array of new products aimed at providing PSPs with more profit generating opportunities.

We are looking forward to showing off these developments in the flesh rather than at a virtual launch

“We are looking forward to showing off these developments in the flesh rather than at a virtual launch.”

Andy McGuinness, managing director of SEDO, agrees, saying that the event will be hugely important for the industry as print companies continue their recovery from the pandemic.

“Having this opportunity, seeing big manufacturers back at big events should confirm that the UK is opening up again and now is a great time to invest in new equipment,” McGuinness says.

“Print buyers will have been nervous to invest in print due to the open/close nature of the last 18 months but if print manufacturers can offer unique offerings such as white or metallic ink it might be a good way to drive interest and additional profits all print companies have been missing.”
