HP enjoyed steady footfall on its stand across the three days at The Print Show

HP has had a presence at the show for a number of years now and used the 2019 event to demonstrate its new HP Stitch technology in public for the first time in the UK and Ireland.

Reflecting on the show, Phil Oakley, regional business manager, large-format printing at the HP Graphics Solutions Business, says that he was very pleased with HP’s presence at The Print Show 2019.

“Our marketing team did a fantastic job, positioning us well and creating an attractive stand for delegates,” Oakley says, adding: “The organisers of the show also deserve credit for building a truly great experience through the use of genuinely interesting guest speakers, the Golden Ticket feature and book signings.

The timing of the event is good, being post-FESPA and summer holidays

“I think next year, we as vendors and exhibitors at the show have a responsibility to match that level of creativity and wow attendees.”

HP was able to complete a series of sales on the show floor at the NEC, something Oakley says was partly helped by its channel engagement and ‘Wheel of Fortune’ show feature tactic.

Oakley also spoke about the timing of The Print Show and how this fits in with HP’s strategy for the full year.

“The timing of the event is good, being post-FESPA and summer holidays,” he says, adding: “This allowed us to use The Print Show as the first public showing of HP Stitch in the UK and Ireland, following its global launch earlier in the year.”
