Inkjet technology specialist Axzyra has opened up about how The Print Show has played a major role in helping the company grow into a business that now serves customers both in the UK and overseas.

Axzyra, which will appear at this year’s event in September at the NEC, was only a few months old when it exhibited at the inaugural Print Show back in 2015. At the time, managing director Steve Woods manned the booth solo, speaking with visitors about its Apache UV flatbed printer.

However, as Woods explains, times have changed over the past four years or so, with Axzyra growing its sales at a healthy rate and taking on new customers across various markets.

“I have fond memories of manning the booth solo with the Apache UV flatbed printer, which we launched at the first Print Show on a wobbly IKEA table,” Woods says.

What’s really important for us is that potential customers and the industry get to see a business returning annually

“During our first year of operation, we borrowed space at a print shop in Hemel Hempstead. However, fast-forward to the modern day and we are now based at a new premises just north of Cambridge, complete with a specialist demonstration suite for our Apache UV printer range.”

In addition to this new facility, Woods cites a number of other highlights for the business in recent times. These include hiring a new technical member of staff, integrating Ricoh inkjet printhead technology into the whole Apache range, and becoming a ColorGate RIP software partner.

Woods also speaks about how exposure at The Print Show has helped to drive up sales four-fold on its large product range, as well as put the company in contact with customers at home and overseas, with a number of Apache installs across the UK and Europe.

The Print Show has given Axzyra both the exposure and continuity that a new business needs

“The Print Show has given Axzyra both the exposure and continuity that a new business needs,” Woods says, adding: “This year, we have a great position near the front of the hall & booked almost immediately.

“What’s really important for us is that potential customers and the industry get to see a business returning annually. Enquiries and sales from the show are very healthy; in fact we picked up a French sale from the last Print Show.

“The Print Show is also a great event for networking with others in the market.”

Axzyra will feature on Stand P10 at The Print Show 2019.
